Is eating late at night bad for weight loss?

I get this question a lot – Is eating late at night bad for weight loss?

The answer is pretty straight forward…

Let me explain…

Let’s say you have 1800 calories to spend per day on food…

If you go over 1800, you might put on weight,

If you stay on or under 1800 calories, you’ll likely lose weight.

This is an example btw, 1800 calories isn’t a deficit for everyone.

Now, from a weight loss point of view, it doesn’t really matter when or where you spend these calories.

Some people won’t eat all day so that they can feast on a huge meal at night.

Others might load up at breakfast and not each much else all day.

The sensible thing for hunger pangs would be to spread the calories out evenly throughout the day.

So… is eating late at night bad for weight loss?

It really doesn’t matter when you eat your calories.

The important thing for weight loss is to stay within your calorie target.
